Parenting Through the Hotspots:
Staying Cool During Transitions: Mornings, Homework, Bedtime & Technology
Daily transitions like mornings, homework, bedtime, and technology are some of the biggest pressure points in family life. Parents want their kids to get to school on time, complete their homework before disappearing into technology, and go to bed without a fight. But these transitions require strong executive function skills such as organization and self-regulation, which many bright, complex kids are still developing.
This interactive workshop will help parents understand the role executive function plays in transition management and why these moments can be so challenging. Elaine and Diane will introduce three key coaching strategies designed to reduce stress, improve cooperation, and create smoother transitions.
Participants will have the opportunity to apply these tools to their own family dynamics and leave with at least one actionable strategy to implement right away.
